This project will support the Government of Djibouti, to strengthen its knowledge and management of internal migration in the context of climate change. The project will culminate in a high-level policy dialogue and support the development of relevant government policies to protect environmental migrants and better manage environmental migration. Initial research suggests that the issue of climate change and disaster displacement has gendered impacts, thus an emphasis will be placed on the vulnerabilities and needs of women, with specific livelihoods adapted for them.
