Key areas of interventions include capacity building at the national and local levels for MFA officials and local government officials, development of a gender sensitive methodology for the integration of the PIM in prioritized local governments, updating and rolling out Comprehensive Migration Management Plans (PIGM) in the prioritized local governments and the development of an action plan to replicate PIGM in other local territories. The holistic approach of the project will promote both vertical and horizontal policy coherence while aligning country migration policies with the guiding principles of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.
