Jordan
The objective of this project is to strengthen the institutional capacities of the Jordan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates (MoFAE) through the professionalization of recruitment processes and institutionalization of good migration governance. To achieve the above, the project will seek to support MoFAE in prioritizing the workforce development on migration management by facilitating the recruitment and engagement of qualified Jordanian expatriates and resident nationals, while also providing specialized training to MoFAE staff on migration governance. This will be done through establishing a recruitment platform to attract qualified resident and expatriate Jordanians and transparently assess the applications of candidates for diplomatic service as well as evaluate the current staff qualifying for promotion; and by conducting targeted training and workshops (online and face-to-face) on migration governance, including through available IOM's training materials and tools as adjusted to the local and regional context. The capacity-building activities will further support the development of a gender-sensitive HR communication strategy and implementation of a communication campaign to incentivize qualified expatriates to work at MoFAE.
