The overall objective of the project is to build the Government of Angola (GoA) preparedness and response capacity to manage cross-border humanitarian crisis arising from any natural and/or man-made disasters, political/military unrest or upheaval. This project will also contribute to the protection of vulnerable migrants' human rights, ensuring a gender mainstreamed approach and strengthen the capacity of the GoA to manage migration in a safe and orderly manner. As part of the project, an assessment for lessons-learned from previous crisis will be conducted to help readjust humanitarian border management measures to improved circumstances to ensure the sound functioning of the border management agencies during migration crisis. Furthermore, the project will support the government with the development of a standard operating procedures on humanitarian cross-border co-operation and integrated border management.
