The project will contribute to a reduction in risks and threats posed by migration-related transnational organized maritime crime in the WIO region. This will be achieved by supporting the operationalization of the Regional Centre for the Fusion of Maritime Information (RCFMI) (located in Madagascar) and the capacity to deal with the threats will be addressed by improving the capacity of the Regional Maritime Operational Coordination Centre (RCOC) (located in Seychelles) for enhanced coordination on transnational organized crimes, including migrant smuggling.
