The project aims to promote the use of art in order to combat xenophobia and foster intercultural dialogue within public and private schools in Peru. The objective is to avoid stigmatization of migrants, who are often associated with negative events related to conflict, insecurity, delinquency and social marginalization. The objective will be achieved through teaching material on migration with a focus on gender and human-rights, sensitization workshops, targeting teenagers, with a focus on gender and human rights will be organized to inform students on migration-related issues and risks, and promote a culture of peace and conducting capacity-building workshops targeting key stakeholders such as officials from the Ministry of Education, teachers, private sector and Non-Governmental Organizations, with the aim of facilitating the socio-cultural integration of migrant students in both, public and private schools in Peru.
