The objective of this project is to contribute to strengthening the capacities of the Government of El Salvador to provide access to adolescent returnees to programmes on violence prevention, gender (new masculinities), and prevention of irregular migration. To achieve this, manuals will be developed to increase the capacities of the Salvadoran Institute for the Development of Children and Adolescents' government officials (ISNA for its initials in Spanish) to offer psychosocial support and apply conflict resolution techniques with adolescent returnees. The ISNA's Centers for the Care of Childhood, Youth, and Family (CANAF for its initials in Spanish) will then use these manuals to strengthen their capacities through the implementation of socio-educational measures on violence prevention, gender, prevention of irregular migration, and professional and social skills for adolescent returnees. Finally, an action plan will be developed to replicate these programmes. As a result, it is expected that the ISNA will integrate the action plan into its Annual Operational Plans to implement additional programmes on violence prevention, gender, and prevention of irregular migration for adolescent returnees in the future.
