Benefiting Member States
Central African Republic
This project aims to strengthen the internal security of the Central African Republic by developing a strengthened, concerted and more coherent approach to border and migration management. More specifically, it will involve strengthening and modernizing information collection systems at the border posts of Bangui International Airport. With a view to improving migration management in the Central African Republic, and to have reliable data disaggregated by age and gender, this project will strengthen the system for collecting, managing, analysing and storing migration data. In this way, IOM will contribute to improving the understanding of migration phenomena affecting the Central African Republic by taking into account migration trends according to gender criteria in order to be able to respond to the needs and capacities of all migrants on an equal footing. Thus, Bangui International Airport will be reinforced with modern equipment for the collection and processing of migration data through the MIDAS system.
