The proposed project leverages the Vietnamese Government's strong commitment to spearheading the green transition, placing a significant emphasis on enhancing skills and competencies within the future workforce. Through strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, the project will support the Government to develop solutions to address future skills needs in the context of the green transition (Outcome), contributing to the realization of national strategies such as the National Green Growth Strategy and the National Action Plan on Green Growth of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).
The project includes capacity development initiatives for vocational training providers, enhancing their understanding of the green transition (Output 1.1). Through national workshops and collaborative dialogues between vocational training providers and the green industries, stakeholders will then identify joint initiatives to bridge the skills gaps (Output 1.2). The project will also promote skill mobility partnerships among relevant stakeholders, including the private sector, through workshops and the development of policy recommendations (Output 1.3). Through this, this project aims to contribute to advancing skills development and mobility for the Vietnamese future workforce in the context of the green transition.
