Apple and IOM have built an innovative partnership that has significantly transformed IOM’s operational landscape. This strategic partnership helps conducting comprehensive due diligence in supply chains, and equips stakeholders with tools to ensure fair and ethical recruitment. In 2019, Apple and IOM jointly introduced the Responsible Labor Recruitment toolkit, a resource that supports the implementation of responsible labour recruitment due diligence. In 2022, Apple and IOM scaled up their collaboration with the launch of the Fair and Ethical Recruitment Due Diligence Toolkit. This toolkit aims at helping business enterprises in conducting comprehensive due diligence to ensure the fair and ethical recruitment of migrant workers.
“At Apple, people come first in everything we do. We have long been focused on advancing programs on labor and human rights, including the free movement of people in and out of our supply chain, without exception, everywhere we operate.
We’re proud to collaborate with IOM and to share these tools that can help businesses around the world accelerate progress in responsible labor recruitment in their own supply chains.”
Sarah Chandler, Apple’s Vice President of Environment and Supply Chain Innovation
