Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. Context
Under the direct supervision of the Head, Manila (Global) Supply Chain Unit (MSCU) and in coordination with the Supply Chain Division, the successful candidate will provide day to day support by analyzing and interpreting various data sets using statistical and data analytics technics to help Supply Chain Division (SCD) drive decisions and strategies in the area of supply chain management.
Core Functions / Responsibilities
- Supports MSCU Head in initiating and co-ordinating the development of appropriate methods for obtaining relevant official statistical data from surveys, internal tracking tools and from ERP records.
- Collects, cleanses and validates data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Ensures the quality of collected data for accuracy, consistency and comparability.
- Designs different options for data visualization and reports. • Contributes to the development of relevant databases of official statistics, web publishing tools and other software for collection, storage and distribution of statistical data.
- Prepares technical documents, dashboards and contributes to relevant Supply Chain Division’s publications.
- Develops, updates and maintains supply chain management reports both from ERP and other data sources.
- Prepares MSCU periodic and ad hoc analytical reports.
- Develops and maintains a strong business working knowledge of all SCM ERP implemented modules’ capabilities in order to effectively utilize all capabilities and mitigate downstream impacts.
- Provides support in response to global initiative activities led by the SCD/MSCU, such as process and system improvements, ongoing system configuration, and system upgrades, testing, troubleshoot and support in resolving errors in master data, etc. Participates and supports the SCD and MSCU teams during global business process improvement activities.
- Supports and participates in data maintenance activities (i.e., manage inactive, duplicate and missing records, etc.) as required.
- Provides monthly updates to MSCU Head on the logged MSCU service tickets and procurement cases, its statuses and lead times using Power BI and Freshworks solutions.
- Processes requests for creation, maintenance and/or deletion of codes in the Material Master Data in the ERP and integrated systems, in coordination with relevant units/departments and users.
- Documents commonly asked questions and providing input to the knowledge database.
- Provides back up support for Vendor Registration and Vendor Management function in MSCU, if required.
- Monitors compliance of data governance policy documents and standard operating procedures and assist in the updates of such documents, if needed.
- Contributes to key procurement and supply chain initiatives on continuous improvement process such as data management tool and collaborate with internal stakeholders as necessary.
- Undertakes other duties that may be assigned from time to time which are commensurate to the position.
Education
- University degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Management, Information Technology or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- At least two (2) years of experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint to present insights effectively.
- Experience in using of other IT applications such as Visio is desirable.
- ERP SAP or Oracle experience is advantageous, but not essential.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate findings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as part of the team.
- Excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints, accurate and detail oriented. •
- Ability to work effectively with different levels within and outside the organization and with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
Languages
For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
