Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Context
Under the functional and direct supervision of the Head of Internal Audit, the incumbent will be responsible and accountable for providing general and administrative support to the Internal Audit function.
Core Functions / Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance to the internal auditors before and during audits as needed (for instance, travel request approvals, logistics support).
- Edit internal audit reports and other correspondences to verify and correct style and terminology, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Support the Quality Assurance and Reporting tasks of the function through data processing and analysis.
- Prepare procurement and payment requests, including processing and following up of online purchase requisitions (PR) and other transactions with the relevant units. Purchase Order (PO), Service Agreements and Online Invoice Payable (OIPA), as necessary.
- Monitor the established attendance records for all IA personnel and report on exceptions.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Education
- University degree in Business Administration, Development Communications, Information Technology, English Studies or any related field from an accredited academic institution, with four years of relevant professional experience
- Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with six years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Experience in the advanced usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet use and data analysis (Power BI) desirable.
- Editorial experience can be an advantage.
- Prior work experience with international organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage
- In depth knowledge in MS Excel, data analysis and visualization
- Attention to detail, ability to organize activities in a methodical way.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, especially with the Microsoft Office software suite
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of IOM/UN administrative procedures and work experience in administrative functions.
Languages
For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
