Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Context
IOM is undertaking a Business Transformation (BT) process, a priority driven by IOM’s Internal Governance Framework (IGF). IOM has undertaken a global review of its current support and administrative business requirements and ERP based process flows to update its systems and establish a fit-for-future set of management methods, policies, controls, processes, and systems globally.
Under the administrative supervision of the BT Data Migration, Execution and Test in MAC and the direct supervision of the BT Officer (Training, Support and Adoption) in Valencia, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and supporting the design, delivery and rollout of global end-user training for IOM’s new ERP system, Oracle Cloud, and related business process changes.
Core Functions / Responsibilities
1. Training Review and Development
- Support and assist in the development and application of appropriate training media; including on-site eLearning and remote webinar sessions.
- Participate in the development of dynamic learning materials tailored for IOM roles and users and conduct staff training assessments to help inform materials design and delivery methods. Application of proven adult education principles and theory will be required in the design of all training activities.
- Facilitate and create learning content for end-users, such as short videos.
2. Training Planning and Coordination National Training Officer (Business Transformation)
- Support the development of BT’s training rollout plan, based on established training strategy.
- Facilitate training environment population and testing.
- Under the guidance of the BT Officer (Training, Support and Adoption), collect and maintain training delivery satisfaction forms and statistics to drive BT’s success.
- Support the planning of training initiatives and schedules in coordination with the BT Officer (Training, Support and Adoption) and Regional Change Management Officers in IOM’s Regional Offices.
3. Deliver training to end users.
4. Support post-go-live training and maintenance of training materials during the “hypercare” phase to ensure the materials remain aligned to any impactful solution changes.
5. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Education
- Master’s degree in education, Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Instructional Design or a related from an accredited academic institution; or,
- University degree in the above fields with two (2) years of relevant professional experience; and,
- Professional certification related to training and/or ERP.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in delivering ERP-related system and process training to a global audience , strongly preferred within the United Nations system.
- Experience developing training support materials (training communications, end user manuals, user guides, quick reference guides)
- Experience with e-learning development software (iSpring, articulate 360, Adobe Suite, and Vyond) highly desirable.
- Facilitation (remote and face-to-face) and instructional design experience.
- Experience developing training materials and digital adoption tools for the Oracle Cloud ERP solution set strongly preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Learning and/or Oracle Guided Learning is highly desirable.
- Functional experience/ first-hand knowledge in recruitment, procurement, accounts payable/ receivable, payroll.
- Good knowledge of online training and e-learning content development.
- Strong writing and training materials development skills.
- Ability to communicate and build effective working relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders and departments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to communicate technical information in an informative, engaging and entertaining format.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Outlook.
- Demonstrable ability to develop system and process training content in coordination with SMEs.
Languages
For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
