Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Context
Under the direct supervision of the PRIMA National Officer, the successful candidate will provide support to the PRIMA team with regards to the design and production of PRIMA learning materials as well as in the planning, coordination, and delivery of PRIMA trainings in IOM, will also have functional coordination link to the Staff Development and Learning (SDL) Unit and will assist in the coordination of global PD-PM-PRIMA training, in the development of interactive online learning packages, as well as in coordinating with the Regional Offices and trained trainers on the Project Development (PD) and Project Management (PM) training needs in IOM.
Core Functions / Responsibilities
1. Training Planning and Development
- Collaborate with the PRIMA team and SDL in identifying training priorities and in developing PD PMPRIMA training plans based on established training strategy.
- In coordination with the PRIMA Team and SDL, facilitate and assist in the development of learning content and training materials for PD-PM-PRIMA training portfolio.
- Provide support in designing, creation, review, and updating of PRIMA learning and reference materials such as user manuals, video guides, and e-learning courses.
- Collaborate with the PRIMA Team, Regional Project Development Officers/Regional Focal points, and
SDL in planning and development of training initiatives and delivery of interactive online learning
packages related to PRIMA and PD/PM-PRIMA, both in a self-paced format and for virtual instructor led
delivery. - Coordinate with SDL and PRIMA Team in the development of communication package and associated awareness-raising materials on PD-PM-PRIMA.
- Participate in PRIMA testing activities, as maybe needed, to be able to apply enhancements and new features into the user guides and in corresponding training and communication materials, to ensure
that they remain aligned to any improvement and fixes deployed in the system.
2. Training Coordination and Monitoring
- Develop and manage the PRIMA and PD/PM-PRIMA annual training calendar (including updating SDL’s global training calendar in the institutional learning management system (LMS)).
- Maintain the roster of all PD, PM, and PRIMA Trained Trainers and monitor the training sessions they conducted to facilitate badging in the LMS.
- Guide and monitor the trained trainers on their training strategy and delivery methods.
- Respond to any PRIMA and PD/PM-PRIMA training requests from HQ, Regional Offices, missions, and trained trainers.
- Collect and maintain training evaluations, satisfaction forms, feedback, and statistics and conduct training assessment and impact evaluation to ensure continual improvements of training content and delivery methods as well as identify knowledge gaps and training requirements.
3. Training Delivery
- Assist the PRIMA team in delivering in-person or virtual PRIMA training sessions, and function as moderator for instructor-led PD-PM-PRIMA training sessions of SDL.
- Register all PD/PM-PRIMA and PRIMA training sessions in the LMS and ensure that qualified participants receive their training certificates in I-Learn.
- For any virtual and in-person PRIMA and PD/PM-PRIMA training:
- Coordinate with the PRIMA team, SDL, and Regional Focal points in performing an initial assessment to evaluate the training requirement for the training request.
- Coordinate with trainers to deliver/co-deliver the training virtually or in person.
- Ensure training materials as well as supplies and equipment (for in-person sessions) are readily available for trainers and participants.
- Communicate training schedules, agenda, logistics and other details to relevant stakeholders and participants.
- Keep accurate records of attendance and monitor participation in training.
- Conduct 30-60-90-day impact evaluations to assess progress and feedback on participants’ knowledge and use of the system.
- Provide post-training support to participants, addressing questions, concerns, and simple PRIMA troubleshooting issues related to the training, in coordination with the PRIMA Team.
- Generate reports on training activities, participation, and outcomes for management review.
- Contribute to the promotion of PD-PM-PRIMA training through a variety of channels within
IOM.
4. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Education
- University degree in adult learning, education, communications/multimedia studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution with minimum four (4) years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an international context.
- Formal certification in the field of Learning and Development is highly desirable.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
- Designing, developing (via standard authoring tools like Articulate, Captivate or similar) and evaluating interactive self-paced courses.
- Creating a variety of communication assets like videos and infographics for enhancing user engagement.
- Expertise in instructional design and evaluation frameworks.
- Experience developing training support materials (training communications, end user manuals, user guides, quick reference guides).
- Fluency in video editing software, MSOffice, and Adobe Suite tools.
- Previous experience in video editing and production.
- Experience in facilitation (virtual and face-to-face).
- Good knowledge of online training and e-learning content development.
- Proven ability to produce work accurately and concisely according to set deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and coordination abilities with multicultural and geographically dispersed audiences.
- Ability to facilitate decision-making among stakeholders based on sound technical inputs.
- Proven application of project management approaches to manage deadlines and potential risks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Windows, Office, and Outlook, and desktop software applications.
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural office environment.
- Excellent organization and analytical skills, attention to details, and ability to work with minimum supervision.
Languages
For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
