Context

Under the overall supervision of the Migration Health Informatics (MHI) Manager and the direct supervision of the Health Systems Analyst for Software Solutions and National Project Management Officer for Biometrics, the successful candidate is responsible for providing implementation, project management, procurement, and administrative support to the Software Solutions Team and the Biometrics for Health Assessment Project to help ensure timely delivery and roll-out of MHI solutions.

Core Functions / Responsibilities

  1. Provide coordination support with relevant focal persons in the country and/or regional offices to assist in needs assessment, requirements gathering, and coordinate technical and operational requirements in the testing, installation, configuration, and roll-out of MHI solutions.
  2. Assist the Product Leads in the functional testing of MHI solutions to assess user acceptance testing (UAT) readiness and validate UAT results.
  3. Assist in facilitating MHI support related activities such as trainings and workshops.
  4.  Assist in gathering feedback, reporting, and monitoring issues related to MHI solutions rolled out in the field.
  5. Assist the Product Leads in the documentation and monitoring of agreements and action items with relevant ICT focal persons and external vendors, and in keeping track of the status of project milestones.
  6. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of various project documentations such as process flows, business requirements, guidelines, standard operating procedures, information and communication materials, and periodic monitoring/accomplishment reports.
  7. Contribute to the drafting of communication and presentation materials including project briefers, video presentations, presentation slides, and other visual aids for the promotion of MHI solutions to medical users in the field, and to related non-medical units such as Resettlement and Movement Management (RMM), Migrant Protection Assistance (MPA), etc.
  8.  Provide procurement support to the unit such as preparation of required procurement documents and coordination with the Manila Supply Chain Unit and/or IT Procurement Unit in Geneva for the processing, implementation, and monitoring of various procurement activities.
  9. Provide support in processing administrative requests including payroll of consultants, contract processing renewals, user account creation, renewal, deletion, and other similar request.
  10. Perform any other duty within capabilities as may be required by the job.

Education

  • University degree in business management, communications, public relations, organizational structure, public health, information technology, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Training on medical informatics, public health, and/or project management is an advantage.

Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination with field users and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing project data, technical writing, and documentation.
  • Experience in biometrics or medical software solution development and/or implementation is desirable.
  • Exposure to public health data, medical records, patient management or health information systems is an asset.
  • Experience in handling IT procurements is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group such as executives, managers, medical and IT professional, and subject matter experts.
  • Exceptional time management and attention to details.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle and/or project management principles.
  • Knowledge of procurement rules for international government organizations.

Languages

For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
