Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Context
The Online Communications Unit (OCU), the Manila-based branch of the IOM Media and Communications Unit, focuses on several key areas of work. These include bringing expertise and agility to manage the digital environment effectively, ensuring IOM's online presence is a strategic priority, maintaining consistency in online brand representation, guiding and empowering colleagues through web management training, and being dedicated to swift and effective responses to web-based demands, efficiently meeting various web-related needs.
Under the direct supervision of the Web Production Supervisor, and the overall supervision of the Head of the Online Communications Unit (OCU), the successful candidate will be responsible for providing Website Content Production support to websites managed by OCU.
Core Functions / Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering, uploading, publishing, and maintaining content on IOM websites, verifying the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of the content, and confirming its adherence to IOM website standards and branding.
- Contribute to the follow-up of website-related requests from core IOM websites, including IOM Global, Regional, Country Offices, and Project Websites.
- Support routine quality assurance checks on IOM websites in production or under development to identify issues or errors.
- Provide support in the preparation of content items, including photos, videos, documents, and other media. Organize and fill in necessary information to publish content on IOM websites.
- Work with content calendars and scheduling tools to plan and organize content publication.
- Support tasks related to the IOM Media Library
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- University degree in Communication, Journalism, Digital Communications or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with two (2) years of relevant professional experience; or
- Completed High School Degree from an accredited academic institution, with five (5) years of relevant professional experience.
- Knowledge of and certification in website management is desired.
Experience
- Relevant work experience in content website management, ideally with an international organization.
- Experience in the use of a Drupal content management system a distinct advantage.
- Ability to keep abreast with the latest technology tools, design, and best practices for developing and maintaining the various IOM website and platforms.
- Excellent, applied knowledge and skills in HTML, CSS and W3C standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge in web design and development tools.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of web analytics.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of latest data collection tools (Community Response App, Kobo Toolbox, HDX, SMS/IVR platforms), knowledge-sharing and interactive community-building applications.
Languages
For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
