Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Context
Under the overall supervision of the Chief, HR Operations and Admin Services, and the direct supervision of the Human Resources Officer (OSU), the successful candidate will participate in the User Acceptance Testing needed for the implementation of the new ERP. In addition, the successful candidate will provide assistance for the effective time management of the staff members in the Professional category worldwide and staff members in the General Service category in Switzerland.
Core Functions / Responsibilities
- Support in the development or identification of scenarios to be tested during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) that will consider the different processes related to time management and which can help determine any fault or vulnerability of the proceses in the ERP.
- Assist in the definition of prerequisite processes for the different scenarios to be tested.
- Support the testing of scenarios during the UAT to make sure the results are as intended and keep track of errors, bugs or any relevant feedback.
- Assist in analysis of the system performance, addressing defects and elevating issues suggesting if the scenario can continue or not.
- Keep an efficient communication, liaising with the rest of the testers and developers, and focus on documentation.
- Provide guidance, and reference documents relevant to time management to staff members as required.
- Provide guidance related to time management to the different units in MHRO (HRAU, payroll, etc.), aligned with the transaction approval matrix applicable.
- Support the update leave records, creation or correction of quotas and carry-over balances in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, as required, considering the relevant eligibility and validations.
- Generate reports related to time management or other descriptive reports, as required.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with four years of relevant professional experience; or
- High school diploma with six years of relevant experience.
Experience
- Experience in Human Resources Management.
- Knowledge of the procedures during a User Testing Acceptance process.
- Experience in an international organization, non-governmental or governmental organisation in a multicultural setting is an advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of IOM/UN HR procedures and rules is an asset.
- Knowledge of SAP, Oracle or similar ERP, is highly desirable.
Languages
For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
