Context

Under the direct supervision of the Online Communications Unit, Head of Unit, the successful candidate will conceptualize and develop a strategic online plan for new and existing website campaigns to ensure supporter engagement and drive campaign goals. 

Core Functions / Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Online Communication team (UX/UI, web developers, and website production and SEO teams) to understand campaign objectives, target audiences, and key messages.
  • Develop comprehensive website campaign concepts that align with existing and new campaign goals to enhance online presence and impact.
  • Create a detailed plan, including concrete actions for website content, design, and user experience, to effectively communicate website campaign objectives.
  • Develop innovative and engaging content that tells the website campaigns’ story, including compelling narratives and calls-to-action that motivate visitors to support the website campaigns.
     

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital marketing, journalism, social sciences, or other related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant work experience.
  • Technical certifications in website-related fields will be considered an advantage.  

Experience

  • Proven experience in website campaign development, preferably for UN or non-profit organizations.
  • Strong background in website campaign conceptualization.
  • Experience with website campaign engagement strategies.
  • Highly effective analytic and qualitative skills with the ability to analyze and use data efficiently.

 

Languages

For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
