Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Context
The successful candidate will create visually stunning customized illustrations for various recruitment marketing materials and the IOM’s Careers website.
Core Functions / Responsibilities
- Create custom high-quality illustrations tailored to the Unit's project needs and consistent with the organization’s branding guidelines.
- Collaborate with clients or team members to understand project requirements.
- Utilize various illustration techniques and styles to convey ideas effectively.
- Adapt illustrations to different mediums (digital and print) and formats (.svg, .ai, .eps).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Illustration, Communication Arts, Fine Arts, Multimedia Art or related field from an accredited academic institution, with 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with 4 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Experience in producing illustrations to visualize organizational messages is required.
- Proficiency in illustration software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Procreate).
- Ability to interpret project briefs and translate them into visual concepts.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong drive for results and capacity to work independently.
- Portfolio showcasing illustrations and animations (digital).
- Experience working with international, intergovernmental organizations is an asset.
- Experience with animation is an advantage.
Languages
For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
