The objective of the project is to contribute to the Government of Uzbekistan's implementation of the National Adaptation Plan as part of its commitment to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, with a special focus on the Sectoral Adaptation Plan for the Health Sector. The project will seek to do so in two parts. First, the project will support government stakeholders in mainstreaming migration considerations in the implementation process of the NAP (Outcome 1) by developing their knowledge on the migration, environment and climate change nexus (Output 1.1) and equipping them with the tools and capacities to mainstream the migration, environment and climate change nexus into the implementation process of the NAP (Output 1.2). Second, the project will encourage government stakeholders to use newly generated evidence for addressing the nexus between migration, the environment, climate change and health (Outcome 2) by producing evidence on the impacts of rising temperature/heatwaves on the health of migrants and their families (Output 2.1).
