The project aims to establish a Migration Health Unit under the auspices of the Ministry of Health to be responsible for developing coordinating mechanisms, policies and programmes within an inter-ministerial framework to address migration health challenges in Sri Lanka.
The project will also strengthen the technical capacity of the relevant government agencies via technical training, joint evidence-based research projects, policy development processes and participation in national/regional meetings.
