The project includes 5 components: i) the development of an intervention model for the effective application in Uruguay of the MERCORSUR Guide on Regional Actions for Early Detection of Trafficking in Persons at Border Points in MERCOSUR and Associated States; ii) exploratory research on migration dynamics in border areas (Uruguay-Argentina and Uruguay-Brazil); iii) development of training of trainer material for migration management for use with migration officials (with a particular focus on human rights and vulnerable migrants); iv) capacity building using the materials developed in the other components, and v) presentation of the results of the project to the relevant migration authorities.
