This project aims to contribute to the government of Nepal’s efforts to better manage the labor migration process while preventing irregular migration and trafficking in human beings. Activities include assisting the Government of Nepal’s initiatives in putting together a structured pre-departure orientation programme at the Tribhuvan International Airport, the establishment of a Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) to provide individual counseling, email guidance and also telephonic guidance to interested aspirant migrants. IOM will train and assign a fulltime staff for one year for the MRC who will initiate the activities of the centre.
