The Mesoamerican countries are part of the Member States of the United Nations that committed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
In this regard, the objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of the Mesoamerican Governments to advance in their fulfillment of the SDGs, with a focus on the targets related to migration governance.
More specifically, the project will:
1) Foster the active participation of relevant officials involved in the planning and implementation of the SDGs related to migration management;
2) Improve the capacity of the government institutions responsible for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda to register and disseminate the data related to the SDGs’ progress;
3) Promote the use of the Migration Governance Indicators methodology within the relevant participating countries.
