Cabo Verde
This project aims to contribute to the objective of the Government of Cabo Verde, which is to encourage diaspora entrepreneurs to develop and implement their business in Cabo Verde, through the implementation of a diaspora entrepreneurship programme. IOM will assist in the development of a national Diaspora Entrepreneurship Programme aiming to promote the creation and implementation of diaspora business projects, identifying the specific needs of diaspora entrepreneurs and potential ones, and responding to them with a tailored type of approach, in close partnership with key national/international institutions. The project will also support the implementation of the above-mentioned programme by strengthening the capacity of key institutions, providing information about return and reintegration in Cabo Verde, raising awareness on the benefits of developing a business in Cabo Verde, conducting business management capacity-building for entrepreneurs (and potential entrepreneurs) within the Cabo-Verdean diaspora. Lastly, the project will support the development of a communication campaign to inform and identify potential diaspora entrepreneurs, willing to implement their business ideas in Cabo Verde.
