Côte d'Ivoire
Côte d’Ivoire is a country of origin, transit and destination in terms of migration and given the security situation in the Sahel, which could potentially prompt more out-bound and in-bound migration in Côte d’Ivoire. Enhanced migration management through the development of a holistic National Migration Policy (NMP) is very much a necessity. Although the Ivorian Government has made measurable progress in the field of migration management in recent years migration management is currently still fragmented. In order to reduce the information-sharing gaps, this project aims to contribute to Côte d’Ivoire achieving the SDG Target 10.7 to facilitate orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people, through the development of a holistic National Migration Policy. In order to achieve this objective, this project will seek the endorsement of an action plan, which will aim to support the implementation of the NMP by the Ivorian Government.
