Building a functional, effective and integrated system of border management in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) is a precondition for the full implementation of the national Integrated Border Management (IBM) strategy in Azerbaijan, establishment of which requires sophisticated, highly skilled and highly trained staff.
The project aims to (a) bring the Nakhchivan Border Guards Training Centre (NBGTC) to full operational capacity; (b) establish a centralized document examination centre; (c) provide trainings to the Nakhchivan State Border Service Regiment (NSBSR) posted border guards charged with border control and protection.
