The project seeks to support the Peruvian government in the development and implementation of a national strategy to address migration due to climate change in the country. To achieve this, the project will provide technical support to the government in tackling climate migration through the development and implementation of an action plan to prevent and address forced migration caused by the effects of climate change, validated by the government. In addition, the project will strengthen the capacities of national authorities and local communities on issues of migration, the environment and climate change in areas vulnerable to global warming in Peru. Finally, it will contribute to the generation of evidence that will strengthen national adaptation strategies in the face of natural and climate-driven eventualities.
