This project aims at improving the National Observatory for the Prevention and Management of Community Conflicts' (ONAPREGECC) institutional capacities to help prevent community conflicts which are a source of forced displacements of population. More specifically, the project seeks to reinforce the ONAPREGECC's capacities at the national level (Permanent Secretary) as well as the local level (regional and provincial) to promote peaceful conflict resolution, therefore contributing to the prevention of forced movements of population. Taking into account gender specificities, IOM will, in partnership with the Ministry in charge of Human Rights and Civic Promotion, work on increasing ONAPREGECC and its local offices capacities by developing context and gender adapted tools to prevent and resolve conflicts in a peaceful way.
