Benefiting Member States
Belarus
The project will assist the Republic of Belarus to develop a national strategy for the creation of a professional and efficient system of border risk analysis and management. This will be achieved through the following activities: a needs and gaps assessment and report on risk analysis; study visits on document security and special investigative techniques; strengthening technical capacity of the State Border Committee and its regional border units; analytical research and publication on irregular migration trends on the border of Belarus; a workshop on migration management for the national migration management structures; and a qualitative analysis of the current state of trade flows and smuggling of goods at the borders of Belarus. It is intended that these activities will provide the fundamentals for the Republic of Belarus to develop an informed risk analysis system.
