Benefiting Member States
Serbia
The objective of this project is to contribute to inclusive economic growth and combat irregular migration through the expansion of accessible pathways for safe, orderly and regular migration in Serbia.
The project will seek to do so by encouraging the Government of Serbia to support the development of evidence-based, comprehensive and inclusive labour migration policies, coordination mechanisms and/or legal frameworks that encourage good migration governance in line with international standards (Outcome 1) by making available up-to-date information on regular migration pathways in the context of Serbia with a focus on understanding the gender-specific challenges and opportunities (Output 1.1) and by identifying actions to promote the adoption of regular migrations pathways, including gender considerations (Output 1.2). The project will also promote the Government of Serbia and the general public to adopt a well-informed and balanced public narrative of migration, recognizing the human rights of migrants and their contribution to local and national development (Outcome 2) by making accessible balanced, contextualized and gender-sensitive information about migration, including migrants’ socioeconomic and political contributions, to the Government, key stakeholders and the general public (Output 2.1).
