The project aims to assist the Ministry of Women in ensure a life free of violence for all women without excluding those who are already migrating or plan to migrate, by improving the response of the Ministry and strengthening its capacity to provide specialized attention to migrant women victims of gender-based violence, including, victims of trafficking in persons. By combating gender-based violence and improving protection systems, the project will also help empower migrant women as active contributors to sustainable development in the Dominican Republic.
