The project advances the development and inclusion of the Human Rights’ approach in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the Migration Policy in Colombia. More specifically, the project translates the approach into instruments for policy implementation and monitoring while fostering the development of the gender and ethic perspectives.
The inter-agency strategies encompassed by the project contribute to consolidating the efforts of the Government of Colombia in migration management and protection of migrant’s human rights. The expected results are: a) migration policy instruments reflecting the human rights’ approach designed and disseminated amongst migration authorities and migrants; b) selected statistical systems tools adjusted to capture migration variables; and c) ethic and gender perspectives included in information tools for socio economic integration of migrants.
