The project aims:
• To prepare a Situation Analysis on International Migration and Development in Jamaica – identifying the best practices and gaps which exist.
• To prepare a National Policy on International Migration and Development and a Programme of Action for its implementation.
• To increase the capacity of government and non-government officials dealing with international migration issues to inform national development agenda.
• To increase the capacity of policy makers to integrate international migration in their development policies, plans and programmes.
• To strengthen the capacity of the national authorities to develop and amend existing legislation and related modalities relevant to international migration and development.
