The project aims to strengthen national passport issuance and border management in Haiti through the application of ICAO ICBWG (Implementation Capacity Building Working Group) diagnostic tools through a national passport and border management systems assessment. This assessment will augment ongoing capacity building work in Haiti being funded by the Government of Canada in support of longer-term strategies and policies for successful and sustainable capacity-building in migration and border management. The assessment will be carried out in partnership with the Canadian Government experts and will also serve to strengthen direct ties between the Government of Canada and the Haitian authorities.
