This project aims to improve the utilization of migration data, particularly pertaining to the emigration of FSM citizens to the United States, for strategic development planning purposes. It intends to provide a framework for capturing any new and existing information in a structured manner, through the preparation of a national Migration Profile. Specifically, this project aims to enhance the governments' capacity to promote a comprehensive and coherent policy approach to migration in the FSM; to develop specific indicators and a training tool-kit for developing national strategies on migration, including reinforcing migration analysis in the FSM Strategic Development Plan.
