Morocco
This project will further economic and social development in Morocco by building a network of companies, migrant associations and government agencies in Morocco and Italy, with particular focus on:
1. Facilitation of successful emigration and adequate professional placement of qualified Moroccan migrants (both potential migrants and those already resident in Italy);
2. Reintegration of Moroccan migrants currently residing in Italy. This will be achieved by identifying and/or creating opportunities for temporary or permanent employment upon return.
Additionally, new strategies will be developed to enhance the development impact of migrant remittances from Italy in migrant-sending areas of Morocco.
The 1035 Facility is being requested to co-fund the amount of USD 50,000 towards this first phase budget of EUR 1,191,590, the balance contributed by GoI (EUR 998,590) and in-kind contributions by the project partners CERFE and CERED.
