The overall objective of this project is to strengthen mainstreaming of migration into the national development plan, and implementation of evidence-based migration policies/programmes based on the Lesotho National Migration Profile. This project will support the Government of Lesotho with further capacity building of the migration stakeholders, and additional research/studies will be conducted to produce necessary data to create a comprehensive Migration Profile.
Furthermore, in order to address the systemic challenges towards data sharing among the key migration stakeholders in Lesotho, the project will support the migration data system enhancement through upgrading and inter-connecting the system among the key Ministries and institutes which produce migration data in Lesotho. Through the above outputs the project aims to achieve the following outcome: The Government utilizes research findings and acquired data literacy knowledge, skills and tools to feed into policy and programme development.
