Kenya
This project aims to support the Government of Kenya in its efforts to strengthen community resilience to climate change and harness migrant and diaspora resources. The project will organize policy dialogues with key migrants and diaspora communities in and outside Kenya. Action research will be conducted on key gaps and strategic areas for engaging migrants and diaspora towards an inclusive and climate-resilient blue economy, including identification of gender dynamics and other vulnerabilities. The project will also provide strategic capacity building activities to key members of the National Diaspora Council of Kenya, National Coordination Mechanism on Migration (NCM) and its Technical Working Group (TWG) on the Migration, Environment and Climate Change (MECC) nexus in relation to the post-Blue Economy Conference priorities.
