An IT system will be developed for the IOM Development Fund in order to facilitate the management of the IDF program as a whole, as well as the management of specific IDF projects throughout their lifecycle (as detailed in the below table). The system would support this management by:
• Monitoring the status of projects throughout the project lifecycle
• Creating and maintaining project information and documents (record keeping)
• Generating basic statistical reports
• Containing a formal approval/endorsement mechanism.
• Being accessible to all IOM staff developing, implementing, approving/endorsing, managing, monitoring or simply viewing IDF projects.
At the end of the ten months project the IT system will have been piloted for a minimum of three months and implemented for two months for two Regional Offices, eight IOM Missions, HQ and MAC. A recommendation for the roll out to other IOM Missions and Regional Offices will have been developed.
