Islamic Republic of Iran
This project will support the efforts of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran (GIRI) to establish an independent self-sustaining academy in the field of migration and refugees: the Academy for Migration and Refugee Studies (AMRS). The Academy will provide training and research services to various GIRI entities with functions related to the management of migration and refugee matters, and will be the central point for staff development for these entities. Additionally, the AMRS will promote national and regional dialogue on migration matters through various workshops, seminars and consultation activities. The financial support provided will seed initial curriculum development activities and cover the costs of training workshops.
