The overall objective of the proposed project is to provide technical support for the establishment and functioning of a governmental agency with a diaspora-engaging mandate. The establishment of this agency will be instrumental in maintaining and fostering the links between the Moldovan diaspora and its homeland and the Moldovan Government, improving the public services available to Moldovans residing abroad and enhancing the capacity of the both the government and the diaspora for mutual engagement. Furthermore, it will streamline respective policies and programmes for a more efficient harnessing of diaspora resources for development.
