Benefiting Member States
Fiji
This pilot project aims to assist the Government of Fiji to engage more closely and strategically with Fijian diaspora groups in Australia as part of its efforts to contribute to national development and further to Fiji's commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The government has an interest in streamlining its engagement with diaspora, allowing them to play a significant role in their country's development. This can be explored through formal agreements and partnership arrangements between Fijian diaspora communities and the Government of Fiji on common areas of development interest, and investment opportunities such as agriculture, employment schemes, skills exchange and increased remittances.
