The EC funded project on ‘Best practices on collecting and sharing Labour Migration Data for the Improvement of the Labour Market Information Systems’ contributes to improve the capacities of six selected countries in Maghreb-Tunisia, Latin America-Colombia/Costa Rica/Nicaragua and Western Africa-Senegal/Ghana to collect and share labour migration information and feed it in the labour migration policy process. It supports in particular the inclusion and proper management of labour migration information into the Labour Market Information Systems (LMISs) thus contributing to the development or enhancement of LMISs to produce accurate and timely information for a better management of labour migration. The 1035 Facility will provide co-funding to this EC initiative through the international workshop on Creation and management of labour migration data-bases, to take place in Ghana.
