The objective of this project is to contribute to evidence-based policy-making and informed decision making by providing clear, reliable and easily accessible migration-related data since such data is currently scarce, not reliable and not readily available as it is scattered across different institutions. The project will establish a government coordination mechanism through a technical working group to support the development of the migration profile, strengthen the capacity of the government stakeholders in data collection and develop standard operating procedures for data collection. The project will also produce a data mapping report and develop a comprehensive migration profile. The activities through the inter-ministerial coordination, data collection, training, knowledge sharing, and the government secondment will ensure the creation of a migration profile that can be sustainably maintained and updated by the involved stakeholders beyond the project closure.
