This project has provided a detailed survey of the existing in-country institutional and legislative frameworks in the field of counter-trafficking activities in the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, including judicial authorities, various ministries and other relevant agencies. The research and data collection in each country was implemented by IOM, in cooperation with partner agencies (a researcher for each country was to be appointed for the duration of the project). All country-specific data was collected and analysed and a final report was prepared. Information on transnational cooperation agreements on crime prevention and efforts in the region pertinent to trafficking were compiled, analysed and incorporated into the report.
