The main objective of the project is to create conditions for the socio-economic inclusion of the migrants in the host community through advisory support in defining the legal status of new categories of foreigners staying in the country, as well through conducting an evidence-based study to assess the labor opportunities and labor matching schemes for the new categories of foreigners. Precisely, this project will focus on the following activities:
- Identify and address gaps related to the legal status of the new categories of foreigners staying in the country
- Develop the evidence based study to assess the labor opportunities and labor matching schemes within the region and with the EU member states
The analysis on the gaps related to the legal status of the new categories of foreigners, as well as the evidence based study to assess the labor opportunities and the labor matching schemes within the region and with the EU member states will also include recommendations related to the Republic of Serbia, as a country significantly affected by the migration flows from extra regional countries and whose legislation and integration opportunities could influence over the migration situation in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
The project will be implemented in close cooperation with the institutional stakeholders that have key competences in the area of migration management, including Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Ministry of Interior and Employment Service Agency in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration and Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs (MLESVP) in Serbia, thus ensuring institutional ownership of the activities.
