Zouk alors! Congolese IOM Staffer Cuts Anthem in Afro-pop Style
Democratic Republic of the Congo - Thomas Mvubahe Bigaba, an IOM staffer in Goma in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), is a passionate singer when he is not working with internally displaced people in North Kivu.
Thomas’ band has produced a Zouk song about IOM’s mission to the DRC and IOM is asking DRC’s national radio to air its catchy beat countrywide.
IOM also will post Thomas’ recording on its website and Facebook page. The song’s title: “IOM, Always Near the Vulnerable!”
