Relaunching of IOM Website
IOM today re-launched its organizational website available at
class="paragraph-link-underlined" href="http://www.iom.int" target=
"_blank" title="">www.iom.int. A complete transformation of
design and structure, the new website provides more information
about contemporary migration issues and policy perspectives as well
as the Organization's activities around the world.
Among the new website's key new content is its About Migration
educational section, which covers key thematic areas from a policy
development perspective. The section provides an overview of
practices for orderly migration management, addressing the range of
issues facing governments today. It also provides migration facts
and figures - a must for everyone in need of a concise statistical
overview of migration today.
The new website organizes information about IOM's more than 1,400
projects by country and region as well as by thematic area. Major
operations, most notably IOM's emergency responses to events in
Indonesia and Timor-Leste, are integrated as micro-sites. Other new
features include sections on Migration Policy and Research and
Migration Law. The website is a work in progress with additional
information to go online in the coming months.
