Regional Art Exhibition Features Experiences of Irregular Migration
A exhibition of artwork by young artists from Senegal, Gambia and
Guinea Bissau opens today in the town of Pikine, in the Dakar
region.
The exhibition at the Centre Culturel Léopold
Sédar Senghor will run until 9 June before travelling to
Banjul and Bissau.
This initiative, which brings together fifteen local artists and
an equal number of young people from the region who have failed in
their attempts to reach Europe by boat aims to give them the
opportunity to express their experiences of irregular migration and
inform would-be migrants of the associated dangers.
